Arroz Bomba Rice

Bomba is a Spanish short grain variety that has a great capacity to absorb flavors and aromas. The size of the rice is about equivalent or smaller than short grain rice, but the big difference is that Bomba rice more than doubles its size when cooked, both in length and width. Even though it absorbs more liquid than ordinary rice varieties, the grains remain separate and individually loose from one another. Bomba rice maintains its consistent texture even under extended cooking so it will never become sticky, fluffy, or mushy. This quality makes it perfect for paellas! Packaged in an 11 lb. (5 kg) burlap sack.
